- Overall context
Public finance governance is an important dimension of economic development policy. Besides country's national frameworks, there are international dimensions to public finance governance which may warrant a legal analysis. Issues pertaining to development finance, sovereign debt management, illicit financial flows, and regulation of corruption are all relevant to public finance governance and deserve being studied from an African states' perspective.
- Work Plan
Our current work plan in the area of public finance governance focuses on: (i) development financing solutions, (ii) Sovereign lending and borrowing and (iii) illicit financial flows. Our activities include, among others, reviewing, analyzing, raising awareness, building capacity and providing an African legal perspective to current internal and global discussions on these matters.
