ACILP’s institutional structure consist of the Panel of Eminent Persons (PEP), the Technical Advisory Board (TAB) and the Executive Director.

  • The PEP is the primary vitrine for the credibility of ACILP. Its members currently occupy or have previously occupied leadership positions in the practice of public international law at the highest level of government, international organizations, or international courts and tribunals. The role of members of the PEP is to:

    • Provide structured feedback on the effectiveness and relevance of ACILP activities and recommendations for improvement;
    • Assist ACILP to build relationships and linkages and facilitate high level access and contacts;
    • Provide ad hoc advice, on an individual or collective basis, related to specific issues or situations within the expertise of the member or members concerned; and
    • Advocate on behalf of ACILP, in support of its mission and vision, and draw attention of decision makers and potential future donors to its work and products. 
  • The TAB provides general expertise to support the definition, selection, approval and implementation of ACILP programs and projects. Its members have leading experience working in the areas of ACILP programs and currently serve in government, regional international organizations, NGOs, law firms, prominent think tanks, academia and civil society.

  • The Executive Director manages the day-to-day operations of ACILP, supervise the execution and delivery of its programs, and represent the organization externally. The Executive Director discharge his duties with the assistance of a Director of Programs, program managers, associates and fellows, and research assistants.
